    Description

    This is an antique hand painted blue tile made by
    Plateelbakkerij Delft
    (P.B.D., Amsterdam 1897-1902, Hilversum 1902-1923)
    Hilversum, Holland in March 1910.
    The tile made after painting of the Dutch painter
    Fredericus van Rossum du Chattel (1856-1917).
    The tile is marked on the front n. (naar - after) du Chattel.
    On
    back tile is fully marked with
    P.B.D.
    company mark,
    date mark (H for 1910, Roman III for March), décor number and the artist’s initials AB.
    The tile size is 6’’ X 6’’ and about ¾’’ thick.
    The tile is in good antique condition.
    There are no cracks or repairs.
    There is some age related crazing.
    There are some minimal scratches.
    There are several darker spots on the tile.
