Description

Mom and Dad's 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado Deluxe. Delivery taken 3/5/1966.   Motor Trend's Car of the Year, this car is the state-of-art pioneer of front-wheel drive.
45,314 original mi. (approx. 1,000 since 1978); always garaged.  Rare tan on tan color.  Features include working P/S, P/B, A/C, crank windows, rear door handles, power seats, power door locks, power trunk lid, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, a m radio with power antenna, clock, cigarette lighters front and rear, interior lighting, cornering lamps,  and the original spare tire and jack (never used). Also comes with those classic pop-up headlights, and that 425 c.i. V-8.
The car has been impeccably maintained.  All original but one factory color repaint (1977) and misc. repairs and maintenance parts. New tires, radiator, hoses, belts, battery, fuel pump, plugs.  It purrs like a kitten, and glides at 70 mph, but at time of listing, switch pitch/kickdown switch  is inoperative.  One rust spot developing inside, behind rearview mirror as shown in last picture.
This car has some imperfections and dings as shown, but is one of the most factory-complete,  original 1966 Toronados that you will find.  Here's your chance to own a piece of automotive history.
