    Description

This  Old Wood Milk Pitcher with comes from the Pokot tribal people of Kenya.  This wood pitcher for milk or water is used by Pokot women. The Pokot have a very unusual dairy product that has been produced by village communities for generations. This product is a yogurt made of cow’s or goat’s milk, mixed with the ashes of the native cromwo tree. The Pokot people use pitchers to drink their milk from goats and cattle. These pitchers were treasured and necessary in everyday life. This is an old and beautifully burnished  pitcher with a twined fiber handle for carrying. This pitcher would be a lovely addition collection or home.
    10.5 Inches Tall
    5 x 6 Top
    2.5 x 2.5 Bottom
This pitcher shows age, has some cracks, but overall in good condition.
