Description

Great example of Leon Senf's "New Delft" was picked up at local estate sale with many high quality items near the University of Illinois.  This piece measures 7 1/2" in diameter and 1 1/2" tall.  Does have considerable crazing, mostly visible on the bottom..  Signature is slightly different than other examples I found.  Looks more like "SN" than "SL".  I have another piece up for auction - not identical pattern, but same mark and basic design.  Senf was a Dutch artist producing in the early 1900's.
Much of his work is in museums.
