    Description
A well-used West African carved wood milk bowl, probably Dogon, carved from a very dense closed-pored hardwood. It is coarsely carved, with a minimal spout at one side, and an eye for a lash at the opposite side. The top measures about 6 1/2" square. It is 3 1/2" tall. It is 7 5/8" long, including spout and eye. The un-touched surface is dark on the exterior, with accretions in the depths of carving. The interior shows the effect of decades of use.
