    Description

    You are bidding on a beautiful wood Hand Carved African Bread / Fruit Basket with handle, that is in good pre-owned condition. This object was acquired at an estate sale and its exact age and location of origin are unknown. There are depictions of different African animals intricately carved in the lid and basket. The basket has a nice patina, I do not know its composition. A similar basket was thought to be made of Olive wood. There is a crack on the lid's rim, which has been stabilized. It can be seen in the accompanying photos along with a ruler to estimate its size.
