GLYCEROL:

Also found in allergen immunotherapies, cough syrups, elixirs, expectorants, toothpaste, mouthwashes, skin care products, shaving cream, hair care products, soaps and water-based personal lubricants.
In solid dosage forms like tablets, glycerol is used as a holding agent.
For human consumption, glycerol is classified by the FDA among the sugar alcohols as a caloric macronutrient.
Glycerol is a component of glycerin soap, essential oils are added for fragrance.

Product Description
Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside is a natural, mild, solubilizing non-ionic surfactant that ideal for all foaming and cleansing products. It is obtained from renewable raw materials (Fatty alcohols and glucose from vegetable origin) Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside is a glucose alkyl ether containing 60% active matter that is ECOCERT Compliant and preservative free. Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside is commonly found in formulations because it provides excellent, gentle cleaning surfactant properties. Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside is also a highly effective solubilizing agent for essential oils and fragrances. Most Formulators use Caprylyl/Capryl Glucoside in their formulations rather than sodium lauryl sufate (SLS)
is a natural, mild nonionic water-soluble surface active agent produced from the reaction of  glucose and vegetable-derived caprylyl and capryl alcohols.

FORMULATING TIPS
Can be used over a broad pH range
Recommended use level is 15-40% as a primary surfactant and 3-15% as a secondary surfactant in personal care  formulations.
Use as a secondary surfactant to reduce irritation potential of formulations.
Premix with oils and fragrances to solubilize into formulations.
High Solubility in concentrated alkaline and electrolyte solutions
Used as a bio-degradable wetting agent in hard surface cleaners at 0.5-6%, it is non-streaking and non-corrosive to  synthetic surfaces.
STORAGE AND PACKAGING
Store in a clean, dry area. Store the material below 30°C in original sealed containers. Kept at suggested storage  conditions, the product can be stored for at least one year.
