Up for consideration is a fine Ebony carving from Ethiopia. It's carved from well seasoned black ebony. THere are priests, children and animals.  The statue has fine detail. The wood makes a sound when tapped. The carving is quite lovely. It's approx.7.5 inches high and approx. 6 inches wide. Ebony is hard and rich. This has been carved from a fine pure piece of ebony. The detail is warm and rich. A fine example. Probably around 40 years old.
