    An Ethiopian Lidded Bread Basket, with Leather Wrap.
    Baskets such as these are used among the ethnic groups in Ethiopia.  These coiled grass baskets are covered with leather and have removable lids.  Leather straps help carry the bowl/basket.
    Please look carefully at the pictures which may reveal condition and damage.  The patina, splits, cracks are a normal part of the patina attesting to their age and use.
