Full Kaplan Hydroelectric Water Turbine & 225kw Generator

Description

Full Kaplan turbine removed from a 375kw 240rpm hydro station with 26 foot of head. No wicket gate was utilized due to water into turbine well was by siphon. Breaking vacuum emptied well, flow was controlled by blade positioning. Turbine center hub is 30 inches with blade dimension of 60 inches. 5 blade turbine was actuated by a 1 1/4 inch rod thru center of shaft using a dc actuator. Turbine was disassembled for inspection, Turbine was packed with grease. Generator is a 300hp, 600 volt, 440rpm Allis Chalmers vertical induction motor belt coupled from a 48 inch 5 sheave pulley to a 24 inch pulley at the generator.  Power factor was 98 utilitizing capacitor bank. Included in sale is generator, sheaves, shafting, capacitor bank, thrust bearing, various couplings, contactors, turbine and Omron PLC. Pictures of turbine are of bottom side up.
