These are Handrail bolts used in the installation of Bannisters and stairway handrailings. They are used to connect two pieces of handrailing,or connecting handrail fittings to lengths of handrail. Also they work great for connecting Handrail to Newel posts or wall installations. Enclosed is a bolt with lag bolt threads on one end, and machine threads on the opposite end.Also enclosed is a
5/16" nut
with a special tapered washer. To hide all your work is a 1" solid Oak plug. Any true stair guy knows Rail bolts are the key to a strong ,long lasting installation.
