    Description

    Large African coiled basket from Namibia, Ovambo people.  15 inch (38 cm) diameter, 2 inch (8 cm) high.  Finely coiled basket with Southwest style design, with square or "checkerboard" start.  Found in a resale shop.  We had fun tracking down where this piece was made.
