Naturally Holey Beach Stone, Coquinoid Sandstone
Tumbled by the tides and time.
Collected along the shores of the Treasure Coast.
This stone is approximately 3 1/4" x 2 1/4"" x 3/4" thick.
The large hole accomodates this 5/8” copper pipe.
It is uncommon for me to find this large of a hole in a rock.
It is dark gray.
Very nice large holey rock, rounded and smooth outside edges.
Holds well in your hand. Solid.
If used in an aquarium, acclimate before use.
(It has been rinsed in tap water. Originated from salt water-ocean.)

many years.  There are also speculations that these mysterious
stones may have been formed by a “worm hole”. A Hag stone
is also known as a Witch Stone
or Adder Stone or Holey Stone
and has quite a bit of lore and many magical properties associated
with them.  Part of the folklore is that if you look through the holes
you can see fairies.
