    Description

    Large hand woven African basket with lid.
    The basket is about 10 inches in diameter at the top with a slight taper.
    The lid is about 10 ½ inches.
    The basket is about 3 3/4 inches deep.
    It’s made with coiled grasses, with woven accents in different brown tones and a starburst design woven in the bottom. Perfect for display or storage.
    New, never used.
    My Mom’s note says she purchased it in a village from the woman who made it.
    Country is not stated—she made several trips to Africa, but it would have been purchased circa 1980, possibly in Botswana.
