ABOUT: This beautiful Copper Splash Art was made by a local artist Brian Neale Wright of Hancock, MI
    whom has
sadly recently 2021 since passed away. Own a piece of this beautiful art before they are
all gone by this local artist.
This particular sculpture is made from pure copper from Keweenaw, Michigan. Molten copper is "splashed" onto
a flat surface (concrete in this case) and is allowed to cool.
The surface is then forced to patina through oxidation.
The patina (green) is then polished off in select places to reveal the wonderful contrast in color. Lastly the specimen
is sealed with a clear epoxy to prevent further oxidation.
    T
his piece has some surface scratches on the opoxy but does
not go into the copper itself.
The scratches DO NOT TAKE AWAY from the beauty of this art piece its simply beautiful and so full of character
    as you can see!
The opoxy can be taken off with proper cleaner with much care and re-applied to seal the art.
Splash Copper can be displayed on a stand or mounted on a wall.
    * STAND IS INCLUDED WITH THIS SPASH ART.

    ABOUT:
From 7,000 years ago to the 1900s
    people mined Keweenaw copper.
Native peoples made copper into tools and trade items. Investors and immigrants arrived
in the 1800s in a great mineral rush, developing thriving industries and cosmopolitan communities.
Though the mines have since closed, their mark is still visible on the land and people.
