    Description

Pair of Handmade Traditional African Zulu Telephone Wire Bowl Baskets  ***  These handmade baskets, made from telephone wires, were woven in a remote section of the far Northeast part of South Africa, bordering Mozambique and the Indian Ocean.  This is special artwork created by Zulu women.  The black and white bowl is approximately 7-3/4" diameter and 3" tall, and is woven in a rare pattern we have not located in other similar baskets currently for sale online.  The multicolor basket measures 7-1/4" in diameter and 2-7/8" tall
, and is an eye-pleasing combination of wires colored black, white, gray, orange, blue, brown, yellow, red, and green.
The handiwork in these pieces is intricate and impressive.  These pieces are in excellent condition;  please note that, due to the nature of wire woven bowls, they may not be absolutely symmetrical, and this is part of their charm. Please examine all photos closely, as they are part of the description.  Thank you for shopping with us!
