    This is a lovely, dark polished piece of Malachite that
    is "roughly" polished completely around, meaning it still has some natural roughness to it.
    It weighs 1.72 pounds and would make an awesome paperweight.
    This material is found in the oxidation zone of major copper deposits.
    This piece came out of the Katanga Mine, in the Congo, Africa.
    Malachite is named for the Greek word for "mallow", a green herb.
