This 3 inch in diameter collector stone sphere has some blue Chrysocolla, green Malachite and black Tenorite in a quartzy matrix.
The sky blue of Chrysocolla, a copper silicate, blends will with green Malachite, a copper hydroxide, and other copper ores. This material is found in the oxidation zone of major copper deposits.
This material came from the Bagdad Copper Mine in Arizona and was cut in the U.S.A.
Chrysocolla is known as a healing stone among Native American Indian cultures where it was used for strengthening the body's resistance and bringing about calm feelings where there is upset.
