This item measures about 3" deep, 6.25" long and 5.75" wide. All measurements are approximate to the nearest 1/4", actual item may be slightly smaller or larger than stated.
This bowl is hand carved from one piece of soapstone with a machete then wet-sanded smooth by the artists of Vaneal Self-Help Group in the Kisii region of Kenya. Once the carving is finished, the piece is dyed and etched with the finishing accent patterns. By purchasing this piece, you are partnering with these artisans in Kenya to create employment opportunities.
This item is intended for decorative use only; getting the bowl wet could damage the dye.
Please be aware, these bowls do not have a flat edge on the bottom, so the bowl will wobble even on a flat surface.
