Vintage 15 1/2" Edith Flack Ackley Cloth Doll

Estate Sale Find . This is a rare vintage 15 1/2 " handmade cloth doll that was made from an Edith Flack Ackley pattern, circa 1930's or later. Called ( A Little Girl Doll ). She has blonde yarn hair , well  embroidered  eyes and red lips. She wears her all original 1930's inspired outfit , All hand made cotton 1930's style  white dress with light flowers , Peplum short sleeves and white collar trimmed in lace . Clothing and doll need mending and a light cleaning . Body is intact .Over her dress is a white pinafore apron that is trimmed in lace . Under her dress is a white cotton  slip trimmed in white lace . Under her slip are her white pantaloons also trimmed in lace .
.Edith Flack Ackley wrote a book called Dolls to Make for Fun and Profit, published in 1938. Her dolls were made at home from the patterns in her book by people for their little girls . It's a wonder any survived this long . She is over all, in pretty good condition.
